Orthopaedic Essentials Short Course

Over the weekend of the 9th - 10th September, UWASS will be proudly presenting the Orthopaedic Essentials review course, now in its third year.ย  Whether youโ€™re interested in orthopaedics or sports medicine as a career or you just want to get ahead of the game, this is an event not to miss!
[spacer height="20px"]The intensive course offers a select group of students the chance to improve their knowledge about principles of orthopaedic injury, pathology and management. Content will be delivered by local specialists in core topics including:
[spacer height="20px"]Musculoskeletal anatomy
Radiology, including a dedicated MSK ultrasound lecture
Paediatric orthopaedics
Complications of orthopaedic surgery
Fractures and sports injuries
[spacer height="20px"]Small group sessions for those with full registration covers clinical examination of the foot and ankle, plus wrist, elbow and upper limb, as well as paediatric examination delivered by Dr Kate Stannage. Other workshops include plastering, trauma assessment and manual fracture reduction/immobilisation.
